Shea Butter: When applied topically, shea butter can increase moisture retention by acting as a protective layer over your skin and preventing water loss. Shea butter has antioxidant, anti aging, and anti inflammatory characteristic while being packed with essential fatty acids.
Beeswax: The hypoallergenic and moisturizing properties of beeswax make it an effective treatment for dry skin and more serious issues like eczema. Beeswax can be used to treat the itchiness of these conditions and prevent further drying out.
Zinc Oxide: Zinc has anti-inflammatory properties and increases the resurfacing of a skin wound with new epithelium. Also, zinc oxide paste has long been used as a soothing and anti-itch agent for the treatment of diaper rash. Topical zinc oxide has been also used in treating atopic dermatitis due to its strong antioxidant and antibacterial action.
Sunflower Oil: Virgin sunflower seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe itchy and inflamed eczema skin, and can improve skin hydration and preserve the integrity of the skin's natural barrier.
Castor Oil: Castor oil stimulates tissue growth so that a barrier can be formed between the wound and the environment, decreasing the risk of infection. It also reduces dryness.
